Silver City, Idaho

Located in Owyhee County, this ghost town is full of history and hidden adventures from the height of the gold and silver mining age. While it is no longer an active mining town, some small-scale miners still find the occasional treasure. Precious metals were first discovered in this area in 1864 and the town was the home of a booming economy until the 1940s. Fun fact: One person served as the police chief, mayor, fire chief, and more as he was the only permanent resident of the town.

The awe-inspiring Sawtooth Mountain Range looks over this charming town. Stanley is growing in tourism each year as people from all over the state visit for fishing, camping, hiking, climbing, and relaxing in the fresh air. With natural hot springs all around the area, numerous lakes, horseback trails, and local dining options, Stanley is the perfect weekend getaway for the entire family.

McCall, Idaho

McCall is a wonderful resort town just a few hours north of Boise with year-round attractions. In the summer, Payette Lake is active with visitors enjoying water sports of all kinds and exploring the town. During the winter season, thousands from all over the state come to take in the excitement of the McCall Winter Carnival, an event that features an opening night firework show over the frozen lake, a Mardi Gras parade, unique snow sculptures made by locals, and much more.

Yellowstone National Park

Yellowstone is famous for many things, most recently for the hit TV show. Idaho serves as the gateway for this incredible park and has great campsites for your trip. Yellowstone has amazing wildlife and is home to the largest population of Bison in the world. Bear World in Rexburg, Idaho offers an up-close and personal experience with the Yellowstone wildlife and a petting zoo perfect for young kids. The bubbling geysers are an exciting feature of the park with Old Faithful as the highlight.
